We just released ProtectUSB Content version 1.0.1.1203. This new version adds hardware write protection support for USB sticks based on recent SMI controllers.

This means you can now use the hardware write protection option for USB sticks based on SMI, Alcor and Phison controllers. For USB sticks with other controllers or older models, you can use the software based write protection.

Both hardware based and software based write protection are optional features to prevent users from changing data on the protected USB sticks.
